In BEST Ljubljana, we are proud of many external events and projects. We separated our events in two groups. Some events are for all students of technique and science, and some internal events are for BEST members.

In our summer course, we had a record number of requests. 25 Participants from all over Europe had many lectures form cybernetics and biomedicine engineering. A lot of great fun, with parties was involved. We also discovered many Slovenian beautiful places, with vivid and colourful nature.

BEST Days of Technology and Nature science 2007

We organised local event with intention to popularize technical studies and to reach better connectivity between students and companies. The main idea was also to gain practical and useful knowledge. The whole event included 4 lectures and the topic was oriented to practical knowledge. Students were also able to visit 3 workshops where they showed their good skills to companies. We had a symposium, where academics, economics and representatives of competent ministries, had a debate with students about their diplomas. In the end, we had a great party.

BEST education symposium is a special education event. All participants can be part of all discussions and are able to express their opinion and ideas about education in general. In Ljubljana, the main discussion was about school fees and its influence on student's education.
The discussion was tightly connected with pre-diploma science exploration.

Turn me on!!! - Electricity in the service of medicine

On the course, students were looking up for connections about scientific discoveries between medicine, electrotechnics and biology. Their task was to educate about biomedical engineering. We had great parties also and discovering beautiful Slovene countryside. To get rid of fear about nuclear energy, we had lectures about relativity physics, nuclear safety and how to deal with nuclear waste.

We had a long course about nuclear energy. Main topic was how to convert nuclear energy into electrical energy, nuclear safety and nuclear waste. After the course, there were no questions about nuclear energy at all. We also organised a day trip to our nuclear power plant Krško.
